Floating on Air

We enjoyed a fun family weekend in the sunshine. I thought it cute that in several of the pictures I took of Christopher with his grandpa, both of Christopher's feet were off the ground. Christopher is always happy to be with his grandpa. His joy can't be contained and he jumps, hops and does anything else that will propel him upward. I always thought Christopher spent most of his time in the air, and now I have proof.

Feel the love

I've been working on Monroe's Puppy Love Gloves - I'm seeing little purple and gray squares everywhere now, so I have to rest my eyes. I have that wonderful excited feeling I get when I am starting a new project, but the knitting will have to wait. I will pour myself a glass of wine to celebrate my progress so far, rest my eyes tonight, and start on the test knitting later. And of course go and pet Monroe and tell her want a great dog she is.

Chased by a Kangaroo

Actually, it's just Shasta, but in this picture that Teresa took, he looks more like a kangaroo than a German Shepherd Dog. We all had a great time visiting with Katherine and Christopher at their house in New Hampshire this weekend. I don't know who enjoys the playtime the most, Christopher or Shasta or me; I love watching my two "little boys" run around enjoying a game that only they know the rules to.

Knitting progress report

Almost done with my second beaded dress. I found a few errors in the pattern so I am glad I decided to work through the pattern again. I just need to finish the edges and weave in the ends on the pink dress. Hope to have it done this week. I posted a corrected version of the pattern on Ravelry - now I just have to wait and see if I get any hate mail for causing someone a lot of frustration with my first version. Not that I expect any Ravelers to send hate mail, my experiences have been very positive with all the Ravelry users I know. I just don't like that I posted an incorrect version of my pattern. It can be so frustrating to try and knit someone's pattern when there are errors in it, makes you want to pull your hair out. Knowing that I may have caused that kind of frustration for someone else is not a good feeling. So today I am feeling a bit humbled, definitely a C-/D+ kind of day......
