Topher Turtle taking shape


I have been having fun with the Domino Knitting and completed the top and bottom shells for the turtle puppet. I am very pleased with the results. The top is slightly dommed and the bottom is more flat, like a turtle should be. I am still playing with ideas on how to complete the construction of the puppet. I think it would be fun if the head could retract into the shell and poke out the way a real turtle does. I haven't got all the details worked out yet, just a collection of ideas in my head. I am feeling very happy with what I have so far and have enjoyed the serendipitous moments of creative thought that actually worked out well on my needles. Now, I will hope those moments continue to happen so that I can see this project to a happy completion.
