Monroe passed her Canine Good Citizen test earlier this month. Her new CGC collar tag came in the mail yesterday. This is a big deal around here!! She will be 8 years old in May and has been a reactive dog most of her life ( barks at other dogs and such ). So passing the CGC test is something we have worked hard to accomplish. She is the sweetest dog you will ever meet, I've never wanted to change who she is (not that I can), but I hoped she'd be a happier dog if she were more relaxed when she sees other dogs. We have worked with positive reinforcement methods for a long time to help her feel comfortable around other dogs (especially the little barky ones). Monroe still has a ways to go - as we all do - but today we celebrate her progress and this wonderful accomplishment!!
