Adding some sparkle
I decided to treat myself to a prepared roving and bought 2 oz of pin drafted roving at the CT Sheep, Wool and Fiber Festival a few weeks ago. The Coopworth, Shetland, Silk, Angora blend has a little Angelina in it, too. So the yarn has a sparkle to it. I couldn't get an accurate photograph, the sparkles must be camera shy. A close up sort of shows the little flecks of Angelina. Adding color and sparkle was a fun change of pace from my usual spinning. There is dog hair in this yarn, too. But not on purpose, so it isn't fair to call it chiengora. Dog hair gets into everything around here, planned or not.

More dog hair to love

I fell in love with, carded, and blended this fiber last year. I then went on to something else and didn't finish the spinning. There is so much fiber to love... I've been known to loose my focus now and then. I am happy to say that I did return to this wonderful fiber and finished the spinning this week. Now I have beautiful merino wool and German Shepherd Dog fur yarn. It is a rich gray color with a nice sheen from the merino and a slight halo from the dog fur.
