Beaded Bracelets

I am celebrating Earth day this month with a beaded bracelet from http://www.earthfaire.com/ The center bracelet is knit from the kit "Bead Stew: Moon Flowers" from Earthfaire. It is really fun to wear. The other bracelets I made from my personal collection of beads and clasps. I also knit a green bracelet, but didn't photograph it before giving it away to my daughter. I am testing different cords and metallic threads to knit the bracelets from and making a few changes to the pattern. The bracelets are easy and quick to knit and they make great gifts. I have a few more in the works and am enjoying playing with this pattern.

Happy Late Easter

We finally had our egg hunt!! The hunt was sucessful, and cracking the eggs open to get the construction vehicles out was a lot of fun. Christopher dressed up in a contruction worker's vest and hat. The outfit came with a tool belt with tools. His mom helped him with the play hammer and drill to smash open the eggs.

Later we went to the beach and threw rocks in the water. Notice the rock in the air, Christopher has a great arm!!

And played pooh sticks with Grandpa from the foot path bridge.
Then learned how to play baseball with the ball and bat gift from grandpa.

We had a great day!!!

Topher gets dressed in new colors
I have been working with green yarn for quite a while as I work on my Topher Turtle pattern. I decided to try a colorful change. I think the pink and blue look cheerful. Not a traditional turtle, but a nice turtle none the less. I have to work some more on the head design, I haven't got it quite right yet.
